Friends of Shabazz Launch Party & Music Benefit

Friends of Shabazz exists to support and enhance the educational experience at Malcolm Shabazz City High School through fundraising, community involvement, and volunteer support. Shabazz has offered a project-based, hands-on path through high school since 1971, with students learning by building, restoring, and contributing to their community, from trades skills to stream ecology fieldwork. Funds raised will support classroom supplies, student needs, community instructors, and program costs. The organization’s first capital project is a school van.

The event is made possible by WORT 89.9 FM, Lao Laan-Xang, The Main Depot, Flying Low skate shop, Greg Ginter’s Guitar Shop, and The Silgman Team of Lauer Realty Group.
