Penfield Mood Organ is a mixture of garage, experimental and punk from Madison and Milwaukee, whose influences include the Pixies, The Breeders, and the Talking Heads.
Avoca Dos sound a little bit like pop, at times seasoned with hints of a Louisiana bayou, at other times sprinkled with the crash of cymbals and harmonized shouty singing. There are distinct undertones of Coney Island.
The No and Maybe Game are a mixture of new wave, punk, and funk. Driving electric bass and funky electric guitar are the foundation over which European-inspired vocals are placed. Dancy and upbeat.
Madison's The Drain plays early 80's-style punk rock, overlaid with vocals vaguely reminiscent of Robert Smith's.
